Please be patient....

One of my goals for the next few weeks is try and update my blog before the school year starts. We got lots of great pics at Niagara falls and so I will do my best to get them posted, too. There is more to come.... I promise :)

Brothers through thick and thin.....

Owen's relationship with Aidan has had it's rocky moments..... but as Aidan gets older and can actually play with Owen... Owen has started to see him as an essential part of his life. There is not a day that doesn't go by that they don't play in a blanket fort together, chase each around the house, and laugh together. This is one of those tender moments when I realize how much Owen does love him inspite of him pretending that he doesn't.

Simon's 6th birthday....

Simon normally wants to pick the theme of his party each year... but this year he wanted me to pick. I saw this awesome treasure chest in a magazine and knew that he loved it. He got so excited when he saw the cake... the ultimate... CAKE and CANDY!!! He was pretty excited to get his next "Waldo" book, too.

Angel baby...

Aidan during one of his happier bathtimes. :) This is one of my favorite photos.

Maple Sugar Festival

This year we went to the Maple sugar Festival at our local nature preserve. The boys had fun watching the trees being tapped and loved being able to sample it directly from the trees.

Happy 1st Birthday Aidan!

We celebrated Aidan's birthday on February 8th. I decided on rubber ducky theme and Jeff and I made the cake which turned out really cute. He really liked the cake and couldn't shove it in fast enough :) Hard to believe my sweet baby is one!

Aidan's bear...

Jeff's Aunt Cathy gave him this bear for Christmas and Aidan has loved it from day one. He sleeps with it and drags it everywhere. The bear is only 3 months old and it already looking very raggedy. I can't even imagine how it will look in a few years!

Stuffed Animal fun!

One morning the boys lined up all of their animals and were having so much fun together. They really do enjoy each other's company ( most of the time.) :)

A visit with Grammie...

We had fun staying with Grammie for several days after Christmas. We got to meet our new nephew, Matthew, for the first time. Aidan and Matthew are exactly two weeeks apart.

Christmas at Grandpa and Grandma's house...

This year we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house for the New Year's weekend. We had fun hanging out with the cousins, Casey and Wyatt, and playing games together.

Family Christmas...

We had an early Christmas as Mom and Dad were going to Oregon. We had a fun evening of food, gifts, and goofy movies. It has been such a blessing to have J-M and Sheena nearby us this year. We hardly remember what is was like to have them far away!

Simon's favorite Christmas gift...

He was SO excited to get his new Waldo book from Pepere and Memere as he had been talking about it ALL year long.

Aidan in a laundry basket...

This is one of his favorite places to play. Simon and Owen love to push him around the house. Aidan takes it all in stride and is sometimes so relaxed he sucks his fingers. Roller Coasters will be nothing after this "rides" with his big brothers :)

The four year old...

Owen's birthday was lots of fun. He wanted to have a "Thomas " themed party as he adores trains and spends HOURS playing with them everyday. He was so happy and Papa and Mama tried to make the day extra special!

A Spencer and Emily cake...

Owen insisted that he have a "Spencer" and "Emily" cake which was no small undertaking. We baked a cake and then sugar cookies to create the train. It, of course, had to be vegan which can tricky. He was thrilled and so it made it all worth while!

"Rocky" ... at last!!!

He was very excited to get the train "Rocky" he has been asking for all year!

Aidan at 9 months...

Here is Aidan waiting to have our family Christmas photo taken. He reminds us so much of Owen... it is uncanny.

Fall LEAVES!

Simon loves to rake fall leaves and had fun organizing our effort. I attempted to take a photo of the three boys in the leaves... but unfortunately, Aidan would not cooperate. It reminds me of those "Santa" photos that are a nightmare to take but funny to look back on when they are older!
